Cardiac Sonographer PRN – Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital

Scope to Work

Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including two‑dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, M‑mode, trans‑esophageal, exercise, and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.

Provide instruction to medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology related to cardiac ultrasound.

Act as a mentor/preceptor for other ultrasonographers and students as needed.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or significant clinical experience as determined by the department.

RDCS, CCI, or RCS credential required; no exemptions.

BCLS certification.

Minimum of two years full‑time experience performing all cardiac ultrasound procedures for adults.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.

Computer literacy, analytical problem‑solving, professionalism, communication/interpersonal skills, team orientation, flexibility, and self‑motivation.
