Registered Nurse (RN) - Stroke Treatment & Recovery - Full Time – 36 Hours per Week – Rotating Shifts
Christiana Care Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Stroke Treatment and Recovery (STAR) unit, a 29‑bed unit in Newark, DE. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide acute and post‑stroke care, and may include medical overflow patients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care to stroke patients and medical overflow patients within the STAR unit.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide direct patient care, monitor patient status, and perform interventions consistent with evidence‑based practice.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to all regulatory and institutional policies.
Education & Experience Requirements
Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
BSN required, or commitment to obtain within three years of hire.
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
One year of RN experience required; preference for Med‑Surg and acute care experience.
Compensation Base pay range: $41.28 per hour – $66.05 per hour.
