Full Time Instructor, School of Nursing – MSN Required Rasmussen University is seeking an accomplished Master’s prepared nurse who is passionate about helping nursing students succeed. This full‑time teaching position supports our BSN program and may be located at the Bloomington, Hennepin/Anoka, or Eagan campuses.

Location Rasmussen University – Rockford, IL (potentially other campuses)

Responsibilities

Instructors are responsible for teaching courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University.

Instructors will generally teach 4.5‑5.5 work units each quarter, equaling a full‑time work schedule.

Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; teach and model appropriate learning skills and create an environment conducive to learning.

Foster high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student‑centered learning, including the use of live classroom tools for synchronous sessions.

Ensure clarity, relevance, and connection of class session objectives to course performance.

Maintain an organized classroom and efficient use of class time.

Demonstrate mastery and ability to articulate and relate to students.

Play an integral role in developing and implementing curriculum and assessment in your area of expertise.

Collaborate with the Dean to create a supportive classroom presence.

Provide student support and outreach to help students achieve learning objectives, available through synchronous or asynchronous communication and meetings.

Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed upon or designated by the Dean.

Reporting Relationships The instructor reports to the Nursing Administrator. Depending on location, this may be an Area Dean of Nursing or Dean of Nursing.

Academic and Clinical Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.

Active RN license that has never been encumbered.

Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.

1 year clinical experience as an RN required; 2+ years preferred.

Previous teaching/training experience preferred.

Self‑motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.

Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution, and applicable faculty immunization documentation required.

Benefits & Compensation Rasmussen University offers a competitive total rewards program, including a salary range of $69,400.00 to $93,700.00, which is subject to change.
