Full Time Instructor, School of Nursing - MSN Required Rasmussen University in Bloomington, MN is seeking an accomplished Master’s or Doctorate prepared nurse who is passionate about helping nursing students succeed. As an instructor you will support a fast‑paced nursing program, provide flexible work schedules, and receive ongoing training to develop teaching, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Teach courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University. Instructors will generally teach 4.5–5.5 work units each quarter, equaling a full‑time work schedule.

Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques; model appropriate learning skills and create an environment conducive to learning.

Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student‑centered learning, including the use of live classroom tools for synchronous sessions.

Ensure clarity, relevance, and connection of class session objectives to course performance.

Keep the classroom organized and use class time efficiently.

Demonstrate mastery of subject matter and articulate concepts clearly to students.

Play an integral role in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment for your area of expertise.

Provide classroom presence in support of students, collaborating with the Dean when necessary.

Offer student support and outreach that promotes student success through synchronous or asynchronous communication and meetings.

Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed with the Dean.

Reporting Relationships The instructor reports to the Nursing Administrator, which may be an Area Dean or Dean of Nursing depending on location.

Academic and Clinical Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).

Active RN license with no encumbrances.

Active CPR certification administered by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience (2+ years preferred).

Previous teaching or training experience (preferred).

Self‑motivated, flexible, and able to work independently within a team.

Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.

Proof of professional licenses, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution, and applicable faculty immunization documentation.

Benefits & Compensation Rasmussen University offers a robust total rewards program that includes a competitive salary and benefits package. The current salary range for this role is $69,400.00 to $93,700.00, subject to change based on job level, location, skills, experience, and other organizational factors.
