Montech Inc. is seeking a qualified

Maintenance Mechanic

to provide professional trade services to ensure the continuous, safe, and effective operation of healthcare facilities, staff quarters, and auxiliary buildings. These services are critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational readiness within IHS healthcare facilities. Duties will encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repair, installation, and documentation of work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Place of Performance/Hours of Work The full-time

Maintenance Mechanic

will provide services in support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, except for recognized federal holidays. Some evenings, nights, weekends or other non-standard duty hours may be required to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities The

Maintenance Mechanic

shall perform a full range of duties in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance.

Install, repair, and modify water supply and waste disposal systems.

Conduct carpentry tasks including construction, alteration, and repair of structures.

Make minor repairs to HVAC and boiler systems, including pumps, valves, and pneumatic controls.

Perform preventive maintenance and repair of medical gas and vacuum systems.

Conduct painting, patching, and finishing work in patient care and administrative areas.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues including light fixtures, outlets, and switches.

Maintain accurate records in CMMS and assist with inventory and procurement of materials.

Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facilities systems.

Respond to call-back and emergency duties outside normal working hours.

Qualifications The

Maintenance Mechanic

shall have a minimum of 3 years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one.

Knowledge across multiple trades, with emphasis in plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Ability to interpret building plans, blueprints, and apply trade mathematics.

Must hold a valid New Mexico state driver’s license.

Security Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre-employment drug test and a federal security investigation (background check) in order to obtain a U.S. Department Health and Human Services

Public Trust

clearance prior to start date. The background investigation reviews employment, criminal, financial, and personal history to ensure there are no outstanding violations. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to work in support of a federal agency.

must present a professional demeanor at all times while on site and shall treat all persons with courtesy and respect, striving to earn positive feedback of customers. Any notification from Government to Montech notifying that the employee has compromised the security requirements will warrant immediate termination from employment on the contract.
