SUMMARY The BIM Support Engineer I is responsible for providing BIM users with technical assistance for hardware and software, specifically Autodesk, Revizto and all other related BIM Software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the IT department to ensure field and non‑BIM users are properly supported for their BIM specific software needs.

Image, deploy new hardware, laptops, or PCs, for BIM users.

Update and install BIM software for BIM users.

Maintain BIM Software Depot with latest versions of BIM Software.

Troubleshoot BIM Software for BIM, ENG and Field users.

Communicate via phone, chat, in person to ensure BIM department is functioning at a high level.

Work with IT to ensure BIM Builds and Images are constantly up to date.

Inventory and control BIM machines and hardware.

Provide end‑user support and problem resolution for desktop computers, laptop/notebook computers, printers and other peripheral hardware, and software applications.

Utilize our trouble‑ticketing system to document your work and facilitate communication with our clients.

Work with all levels of end users including high‑level users, difficult users, non‑technical users and demanding users.

Diagnose, identify, research, and resolve end user issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer/Information Science, or related discipline.

Minimum of 1‑year practical experience in providing support in IT environment.

Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

General to Advanced knowledge of Windows 10

General working knowledge of Revit Navis Manage and other Autodesk products.

General working knowledge of Revit plugins — Ideate, Unifi, RTV

Network troubleshooting and working with VPN client software.

Understand the basic functionality of Apple iOS, Android, and Windows platforms as well as cloud‑based software like Dropbox, Google Docs, Box, One Drive, etc.

Passion for incredible customer service, exceptional communication (verbal and written) including top‑notch grammar and spelling, and excellent people skills

Attention to detail with an analytic and technical mindset that helps you meticulously troubleshoot and evaluate issues quickly, efficiently, and accurately

Resourceful and not afraid to tackle difficult cases on your own; driven to work hard with minimum supervision

Master multi‑tasker nailing the art of juggling multiple chats at once, while handling emails, and supporting your peers

WORKING CONDITIONS

General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Noise level is usually low to medium.

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
