Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Roles)
Assist the lead or supervisor with daily field and shop operations Perform mechanical piping installations per engineering drawings and specs Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade existing piping systems in the field Support field service work to minimize downtime and address system issues Fabricate piping systems in the shop including layout, cutting, and welding Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding (TIG proficiency required) Ensure all welds meet quality, safety, and code standards Comply with OSHA, company, and site‑specific safety protocols at all times Additional Responsibilities – Field Lead Role
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of welders, technicians, and laborers Deliver hands‑on training in piping installation and welding techniques Plan and schedule daily field jobs, labor assignments, and material needs Resolve field challenges and coordinate directly with project management Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and team accountability Perform QA/QC inspections and ensure code compliance Track job progress, material usage, and crew time with accuracy Qualifications
Required:
3–5 years of mechanical piping or welding experience (leadership preferred for Field Lead) Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics Strong knowledge of piping systems and fabrication tools Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Reliable transportation and ability to commute or relocate to the Springfield, MO area Basic computer skills for emails, documentation, and time tracking Full PPE compliance and commitment to workplace safety
Flexible / Growth‑Oriented:
Quick learners and motivated early‑career technicians are encouraged to apply Field leadership or crew supervision experience is a strong plus
