Our Connecticut division located in Shelton seeks a
Maintenance Technician/Mechanic .
Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the operation of all production‑related equipment, including modification, installation, repair and preventative maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain all secondary/support machinery, grinding machinery, pumps, compressors, building (minor) and plumbing.
Maintain all tumblers and sanding equipment.
Perform proper diagnostics and problem‑solving in immediate response situations to all equipment failures.
Ensure proper documentation and information is recorded daily.
Maintain cooling tower, parts washer and driers.
Perform preventative maintenance duties to keep equipment in optimal performance.
Perform minor electrical troubleshooting.
Check overall condition and operation of equipment on an ongoing and regular basis.
Ensure that all plant equipment has adequate spare parts, including but not limited to essential stock.
Work with vendors and contractors to identify proper replacement parts and services.
Take an active part in training and helping others as required.
Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.
Ensure full implementation of all relevant procedures and instructions.
Attend training activities as required.
Participate in safety and OSHA training.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or receipt of an equivalent degree (GED).
3+ years of experience with mechanical repairs or related mechanic experience.
Basic electrical, welding and fabricating skills.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements (preferred).
