Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night position in Michigan, requiring strong telemetry and PCU float skills.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital setting on Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units
Night shift position, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Required to work every other weekend
Floating between Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU is required
No on-call responsibilities
Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing and documenting care, and revising care plans as needed
Must demonstrate a strong focus on patient and family education throughout the care process
Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
Expected to participate in unit meetings and continuing education to maintain professional competency
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
Requirements
Active Michigan RN license is required
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
Experience floating to PCU is required
Proficient in telemetry and able to read and interpret heart rhythms
American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications required
Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the unit
COVID vaccination required, with exemptions allowed
