Additional Information About the Role
BJC HealthCare is seeking a Certification Coordinator to join our team on a PRN, as needed basis. This individual will be supporting nurses but working the fax line and uploading faxes to patient charts in EPIC. They will also monitor a voicemail box and send messages to payors and nurses as well as looking up information in insurance portals, working fax line, attaching faxes in EPIC, monitoring voicemail box, sending voicemail from payors to nurses, and looking up insurance authorizations from insurance portals.
Schedule: PRN – as needed
Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:30, Monday to Friday. Must be able to work one shift per pay period at minimum.

Role Purpose The Certification Coordinator works in coordination with other departmental and hospital staff to ensure reimbursement for care rendered. The role facilitates certification with external and on‑site reviewers and resolves payment discrepancies.
Responsibilities
Ensures third‑party authorization for patients.
Collaborates with Patient Accounts department regarding insurance information.
Provides support to the Care Coordination Department.
Minimum Requirements Education
High School Diploma or GED

2‑5 years of related experience
