Help Wanted: Prn - Residential Direct Support Professional

To assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily ADL’s in a home-like environment. Provide support and assist the residents in attaining and maintaining independent living while also promoting their rights as an individual. This position is a Category I job, involving tasks that expose you to blood, body fluids, or body tissues. All job-related tasks may involve potential exposure to mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body tissues, or fluids. Use of protective measures (Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen Procedures) is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
Skills Required
High School diploma or equivalent.
Share vision and core values as outlined by The Village.
Ability to use good body mechanics in controlling erratic behavior and participating in physical activities with the individual as part of their program.
CNA experience preferred.
1+ years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
