Purpose The Nanofabrication Process Technician runs and maintains semiconductor fabrication processes using a wide variety of equipment.
Responsibilities
Runs and develops semiconductor processes on a wide variety of semiconductor equipment, including but not limited to running experimental batteries, performing detailed process characterization, performing data analysis, presenting results, and incorporating feedback from engineers and other technicians.
Develops processes-of-record and implements these on product samples for customers.
Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.
Required Qualifications
Tech Staff III: High school diploma or GED equivalent with two years' experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Tech Staff IV: High school diploma or GED equivalent with four years' experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Tech Staff V: High school diploma or GED equivalent with seven years' experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree or higher in science, engineering or other relevant disciplines.
Two years of experience with semiconductor equipment and processes such as metrology, lithography, vapor deposition, sputtering, plasma etching, CMP, wet cleans.
Experience in a research or start-up environment.
Salary Ranges
Tech Staff III: $58,240 + depending on qualifications
Tech Staff IV: $60,000 + depending on qualifications
Tech Staff V: $63,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
Work is performed on-site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions.
Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work outside standard office hours could be required on an occasional basis during peak periods and special events.
