Nanofabrication Process Technician
Position located at Texas Institute for Electronics, Pickle Research Campus.
Posted 2 days ago. 40 hours per week (Mon‑Fri, 8am‑5pm). Occasional overtime may be required.
Responsibilities
Run and develop semiconductor processes on a wide variety of equipment, including experimental batteries, process characterization, data analysis, and presentation of results.
Develop processes‑of‑record and implement these on product samples for customers.
Compile reports on costs and inventory levels.
Required Qualifications
Tech Staff III: High school diploma or GED with at least two years’ experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Tech Staff IV: High school diploma or GED with at least four years’ experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Tech Staff V: High school diploma or GED with at least seven years’ experience in nanofabrication and exposure to wafer processing and characterization in cleanrooms.
Goal‑oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in science, engineering or other relevant disciplines.
Two years of experience with semiconductor equipment and processes such as metrology, lithography, vapor deposition, sputtering, plasma etching, CMP, wet cleans.
Experience in a research or start‑up environment.
Salary
Tech Staff III: $58,240 + depending on qualifications.
Tech Staff IV: $60,000 + depending on qualifications.
Tech Staff V: $63,000 + depending on qualifications.
Working Conditions
On‑site in a scientific research environment with frequent interruptions.
Standard work hours Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; occasional overtime may be required.
