Where You Will Work The Med‑Surg 3 Cardiac Unit at Aurora BayCare Medical Center (ABMC) is a 16‑bed unit specializing in the care of cardiac, telemetry, pulmonary, and bariatric surgical patients. It is located on the 3rd floor of the inpatient wing and includes central telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Unit Features
Bedside monitors for real‑time heart rhythm visualization
Vitals integration into the electronic medical record
Ceiling lifts in several rooms to assist with patient mobilization
RN Skills on the Unit
ACLS certified
Proficient in telemetry interpretation
Trained in cardiac drip administration and monitoring
We’re Looking For
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Telemetry and ACLS within 6 months of hire
What You’ll Do
Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
