Description Of Work
The Stewardship Specialist will work collaboratively with the NCLWF Stewardship Team, landowners, other staff, and Trustees to ensure the protection of the State's investment in conservation. The position will provide field support to the Stewardship Program Manager in the performance of site inspections, data collection, boundary marking, reporting, and landowner meetings. This temporary position is with Dept of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) - Division of Land & Water Stewardship located at 121 West Jones Street, Raleigh, Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay
$24.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
Effective July 1, 2025

Management Preferences
Considerable knowledge of the scientific principles related to the area of assignment.
Considerable knowledge of ecological processes and environmental factors.
Considerable knowledge of the research process.
Considerable knowledge of data gathering techniques and procedures.
Ability to analyze, manipulate and evaluate information/data, including the use of software.
Ability to formulate or assist in the development of management alternatives and recommendations.
Ability to organize and direct moderately complex research or field studies.
Ability to communicate with the general public and clients of the Division.
Ability to prepare written reports; and ability to work with considerable independence.
Minimum Education And Experience
