Job Summary
Under the general guidance of the Director and Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist administers patient evaluations, plans and implements patient treatment proficiently for all assigned patient diagnoses. The Occupational Therapist is required to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in performance of clinical duties, demonstrate exceptional time management skills in performing all assigned tasks, demonstrate sound judgment in clinical decision making, and assist in supervising, training and orienting new staff (level II and III only).
Responsibilities
Provide patient evaluations, plans and implement patient treatment for all assigned patient diagnoses.
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in performance of clinical duties.
Demonstrate exceptional time management skills and sound clinical decision making.
Assist in supervising, training and orienting new staff (level II and III only).
Participate in case conferences when appropriate, discharge planning activities, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team/Utilization Review Case Manager for referral to a CCS-paneled provider or CCS Medical Therapy Unit for patients who may continue to require Occupational Therapy services after hospital discharge.
Qualifications
Level I
No prior experience required
Level II
Minimum one year experience as an Occupational Therapist working in a clinical setting with adult population, preferably rehabilitation
Level III
Minimum five years experience as an Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting with adult population, preferably rehabilitation
Demonstrated leadership, initiative and ability to assume responsibility; demonstrated proficiency in all OT II skills
Demonstrated one or more areas of well-developed clinical expertise that is used regularly in assigned area
Demonstrates current continuing education in specialty area
Education & Training
Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited school of occupational therapy; successful completion of a six-month internship

Pay Range $50.80 - $75.57 /hour
