McLeod Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Outpatient Rehab/Sports Medicine team in Florence, SC. The role offers a competitive sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and tuition reimbursement for ongoing professional development.
Job Description As a Physical Therapist at McLeod Health, you will design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disability, and promote overall fitness. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide high‑quality care in a dynamic outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations through history, observation, and objective measurements; develop and communicate care plans that address physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
Administer therapeutic interventions for a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments, documenting progress with measurable goals.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with department policies, completing evaluations, re‑evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Adjust schedules to accommodate caseload changes; supervise and collaborate with the therapy team, including PTAs, to set patient goals.
Engage in professional development and continuous quality improvement initiatives, including competency training, clinical instruction, and program leadership.
Acquire and retain a current South Carolina license in Physical Therapy; maintain CPR/AED certification.
Communicate with physicians and other medical personnel regarding patient progress, complications, and treatment recommendations.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by using appropriate health and safety equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
Qualifications
Active South Carolina license in Physical Therapy.
Experience in outpatient rehabilitation and sports medicine settings preferred.
Strong commitment to ongoing education; ability to maintain CEUs for SC LLR.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Education
Entry‑level Physical Therapy degree (e.g., DPT).
Compensation and Benefits • Sign‑On Bonus: $15,000 • Relocation Assistance: $7,500 • Tuition Reimbursement: $7,500 per year for each completed year up to 7 years • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.
Work Schedule 72–80 hours per biweekly schedule; Monday through Friday with flexible hours.
