Associate Analytical Chemist - Monographs- 2nd Shift Full-time

In 2021 we moved into a brand new ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Madison, WI designed to conduct food chemistry testing specializing in infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and a variety of botanicals. Our testing portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides and shelf-life studies.

We test a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. Responsibilities

Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

Conduct routine analyses independently and in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines

Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records

Use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks

Attend and participate in project meetings

Perform peer review of data

Plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments

Contribute to a cohesive team environment and maintain a positive attitude; coordinate workload with team members

Perform other related duties as assigned

2nd shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (laboratory experience may be substituted for a degree)

Relevant experience preferred (HPLC experience strongly preferred)

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

May work with potentially hazardous materials

Will be exposed to potential food allergens (e.g., milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc.)

Overtime and weekend work as required

Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time, including working within a laboratory hood and standing at a bench top

Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment)

Reside within commutable distance to Madison, WI lab
