Position Summary

This role will oversee and assist with sports medicine department operations, lead daily practice/competition medical coverage, and manage travel for 1-2 GSU athletic teams. What Will You Do

As a Licensed Certified Athletic Trainer, you will serve Georgia State student-athletes in the following capacities: Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for administrative assignments related to department operations. Communicate with staff, coaches, and team physicians. Document injuries and illnesses. Schedule physician appointments. Verify student‑athlete insurance coverage. Resolve transportation issues. Assist with CPR instruction, credentialing, nutrition education coordination, intern recruitment, or intern oversight. Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate AD for Sports Medicine or designee. Year‑round responsibilities may include roles such as insurance coordinator, mental health coordinator, drug testing coordinator, inventory/ordering for Olympic sports, inventory/ordering for football, emergency preparedness, or medical records/EMR/PPE coordinator. Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. General Job Information
