OPPORTUNITY

Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is seeking a proven leader to serve as the Mental Health Practitioner within our Crisis Team in St Cloud. A Mental Health Practitioner is responsible for home, community and residential-based mental health services to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. All practitioners work under the direction of a Mental Health Professional.

Brief Description

Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is seeking a proven leader to serve as the Mental Health Practitioner within our Crisis Team in St Cloud. A Mental Health Practitioner is responsible for home, community and residential-based mental health services to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. All practitioners work under the direction of a Mental Health Professional.

The Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To

Complete assessments and develop treatment plans

Provide mobile outreach and residential services

Answer the mental health crisis line and provide phone intervention as well as triage for other needed referrals and services

Coordinate services with other programs and providers

Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families who request services from residential services; provide resources, reassurance, and empathy.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)

4,000 hours working with those with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnosis: which can be part- time over several years or 2 years full time.

Or

Holds a master’s degree or another graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.

Or

Holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.

Clear DHS background study

Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Willingness to become medication certified

Experience with motivation interviewing, de-escalation techniques and Crisis Intervention is ideal.

Compensation

Mental Health Practitioner: $20.50 - $23.00

Mental Health Practitioner + Bachelor's Degree: $22.50 - $25.00

Mental Health Practitioner + Master's Degree: $24.50 - $27.00

(Commensurate with experience)

Shift Differential

Monday - Friday 6:30 pm to 6:30 am: $2 per hour.

Saturday & Sunday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm: $3 per hour.

Saturday & Sunday 6:30 pm to 6:30 am: $4 per hour.
