Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) , Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team.
Shift Details The LPN will work either a P.M. shift (1:00 P.M.–11:00 P.M./2:00 P.M.–10:00 P.M.) or an overnight shift (9:00 P.M.–7:00 A.M./10:00 P.M.–6:00 A.M.) with a rotating schedule that includes working every third weekend. The LPN may be required to work outside these hours.
Responsibilities
Provide general nursing care to a high‑risk population.
Direct acute and chronic nursing care.
Health promotion, disease prevention, and health education across the lifespan.
Treatment of patients through therapeutic activities.
Provide psychological support and direction.
Escort patients.
Accurate documentation of patient behaviors and attitudes.
Applicants must complete a background check to be considered for this position.
