Responsibilities & Requirements Job Responsibilities
Exercises good independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures
Assures correct documentation of all records
Occasionally performs the role of Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned
Organizes work assignments, maintains productivity, schedules staff, and handles load fluctuations as appropriate
Receives complaints or concerns from physicians and others. Properly investigates and takes an active role in follow -up of disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Conducts performance appraisals in a supportive and caring manner. Holds all personnel to the same standards.
Assists with orientation and training for new employees and students as directed or needed
Supports patient experience by performing patient and interdepartmental rounding as requested by manager and leadership.
Job Requirements
Graduates of a 2-4 year AMA approved Respiratory Program
Required Licenses[Ohio, United States] Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory TherapistRRT Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or within 6 months of hireLicensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of Ohio
Required SkillsActive AARC member must demonstrate acute/critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary diseases states, involved in precepting acute/critical care areas, supervisor capabilities, current BLS with ACLS, P, and NRP for respective work area.
