Northway Health and Rehabilitation specializes in providing a "home-like environment" with professional nursing and therapy services for both long‑term care and rehabilitation. In this role you will be a qualified
RN Weekend Supervisor , leading the facility’s nursing staff, overseeing day‑to‑day patient care, and reporting to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient care in a long‑term care center, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community.
Responsibilities
Assists in maintaining resident care standards by supervising and directing the activities of subordinate nurses involved in quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review activities.
Receives physicians' instructions regarding resident care and ensures that orders are transmitted to other units as needed.
Oversees delegation of nursing and other therapeutic procedures to other or lower‑level professionals and paraprofessional associates.
Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess residents’ physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment and nursing observations.
Acts as a dependable and personable liaison between residents and their families and ensures the unit complies with federal and state regulatory standards as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Current R.N. license in the State of employment with experience in long‑term care or working with a geriatric population preferred.
At least two years of nursing experience and one year of supervisory experience.
Clerical skill to read reports and utilize data accurately.
Ability to organize and plan programs and manage personnel to provide nursing services for residents.
Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.
