Schedule Full‑time (3 days x 12 hours per shift per week)
Responsibilities As a Respiratory Therapist, you will examine patients with breathing‑related conditions, conduct diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.
Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per the plan of care, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance, assessing patient condition and delivering treatment.
Educate patients and families about illnesses and available support resources.
Maintain and inventory respiratory care supplies, including medical gas cylinders.
Disassemble, clean, sterilize equipment, and perform preventive maintenance and calibration of machines.
Calibrate ventilators and clean equipment components.
Perform arterial blood gas sampling, bubble CPAP for infants, aerosol therapy, MDI therapy, pulse oximetry, EtCO2 monitoring, oxygen therapy, CPT, BIPAP, ventilators (adult, pediatric, infant), EEG, and pulmonary function testing.
Use the computer system to enter orders, document therapy, order supplies, and bill for services administered.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an Advanced Practice Level Respiratory Therapist program with an Associate’s degree in Science or equivalent certification.
Active and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification preferred.
