Patient Access Coordinator – Full Time Day
Join Boston Medical Center (BMC) as a Patient Access Coordinator during weekdays, 7 am‑3:30 pm. Schedule
40 hours per week, full‑time, weekdays. Position Summary
Performs a variety of patient registration duties, including greeting and registering patients, data entry, telephone duties, collecting accurate demographics and financial information, verifying insurance eligibility using POS and online resources, tracking and filing physician orders, and enforcing HIPAA regulations and signed acknowledgment forms. Required Knowledge & Skills
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Reception/office or other healthcare experience required; medical setting and terminology preferred. Software/Hardware: Computer entry/word processing experience required; Meditech knowledge helpful; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compensation Range
$16.18 – $24.04 per hour. Compensation considers education, experience, licensure and other factors, and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) savings matches, paid time off, and career advancement opportunities. Equal Opportunity Employer
