Maryland Oncology Hematology
Overview
Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5pm, Boerne, TX.
Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching.
Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction.
Administer all medications/blood products using correct route, dosage and technique.
Assure pre‑authorization and obtain consent forms prior to therapy administration.
Facilitate dose modification by assessing labs and consulting protocol.
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheters.
Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
BSN from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
0‑3 years of RN experience; open to entry, mid or senior level.
Current RN state license in the practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Conditions Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other oncology/hematology clinic conditions; requires full range of body motion and handling up to 40 lbs.
