Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – Senior – Rowlett, TX Why Work for Us?
Texas Oncology is a leading community oncology provider. This full‑time RN position supports our Infusion Department with a collaborative approach, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care. Assess patient/family needs, provide teaching, and administer therapies under physician direction. Administer medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique. Obtain pre‑authorization and consent forms prior to therapy administration. Facilitate dose modification by assessing labs, consulting protocols, and consulting the physician. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications
BSN preferred; minimum 0‑3 years of RN experience. Current RN license in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Working Conditions
Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and ionizing radiation is possible in an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Physical Requirements
Requires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
