Physical Therapist Assistant – Per Diem (PD/PRN)
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), sometimes referred to as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA). The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. Responsibilities include guiding patients through prescribed exercises, assisting with mobility and ambulation, monitoring patient progress, and providing support in documenting treatment outcomes. The goal is to improve function, reduce pain, and promote safe discharge.

Key Responsibilities
Implement Treatment Plans: carry out specific physical therapy interventions designed by the Physical Therapist (PT)
Assist with Patient Mobility: help patients get in and out of bed, walk, use assistive devices, and perform exercises safely
Monitor Patient Responses: observe and report patient progress, pain levels, or adverse reactions during therapy sessions to the supervising PT
Educate Patients: teach patients proper movement techniques, safety precautions, and how to use walkers, crutches, or other mobility aids
Prepare Equipment: set up and clean therapy areas, and ensure equipment is functioning properly
Qualifications
Degree
Current state Physical Therapist Assistant license
Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare experience preferred
