Postdoctoral Associate – Liu Lab – UF Scripps Innovation
Join the Liu lab at the UF Scripps Institute of Biomedical Innovation and Technology, Department of Chemistry. The lab discovers small molecules targeting human proteins, integrating chemical proteomic technologies (ABPP) with functional genomic tools (CRISPR screening) to identify new therapies.
Location Palm Beach, FL
Key Responsibilities
Lead independent research projects focused on small‑molecule discovery and functional protein characterization.
Design and conduct experiments using ABPP, CRISPR screening, and advanced functional assays.
Write and submit fellowship and grant applications.
Present findings at group seminars, departmental meetings, and national/international conferences.
Collaborate with colleagues and support trainee development.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. (or MD/PhD) in molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, or related life sciences.
International publication record demonstrating research excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
Cell culture, gene editing, protein purification, Western blotting, flow cytometry, in vivo models.
Epigenetics/Genomics: ChIP, ChIP‑seq, ATAC‑seq, RNA‑seq, CRISPR screening.
Basic bioinformatics (R, Python, or other programming languages).
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Salary & Benefits Commensurate with experience.
