Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), under direction and supervision, is accountable for patient care. The LPN focuses on safe, effective, patient‑ and family‑centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The LPN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit, promotes professional development with evidence‑based practice and education, and evaluates plans of care. The LPN may delegate tasks to non‑licensed staff, mentors/precepts students, and applies educational and professional experience in delivering quality care.
