Mental Health Coordinator - Police Department, City of Vacaville Salary: $113,675.75 - $138,175.71 annually.

Details: One full-time vacancy; recruitment may establish eligibility list for future openings within 12 months.

The Mental Health Coordinator serves a key leadership role in planning, coordinating and overseeing the delivery of mental health services across community-based settings. The position provides both clinical and administrative supervision to professional staff, ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and supports program development to address client needs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the Intern Counseling Program.

Recruit, interview, train and supervise counseling interns.

Provide CA BBS clinical supervision to university interns.

Coordinate psycho-educational groups in schools.

Coordinate parenting education classes/workshops.

Coordinate Family Resource Center services.

Coordinate victim advocacy services on a multi-disciplinary law enforcement team.

Provide direct client services as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge of clinical supervision and staff development principles.

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and standards governing mental health services (e.g., HIPAA and licensing regulations).

Knowledge of theories and practices of psychotherapy and case management.

Skills in coordinating services across multidisciplinary teams.

Skills in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in complex and high-risk cases.

Ability to analyze data and implement quality improvement measures.

Ability to adapt services and supervision approaches to meet diverse client and staff needs.

Minimum Qualifications Education : Equivalent to completion of a Master's Degree in social work or closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience : Three (3) years of professional social work experience, preferably in public safety, judicial or school-based agency; two (2) years post-licensure experience and BBS-required CEU certification to provide clinical supervision are required. Supervisory experience highly desirable.

License or Certificate : Completion of MFT, LCSW or equivalent California State License required. Bilingual (Spanish) capability desirable.
