Position Details Mercy St. Louis Hospital Operating Room –
Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assistant CALL POSITION . Seeking RNFA Experience! Must have 2 years' experience.
Responsibilities The RN First Assistant practices perioperative nursing and has acquired the knowledge, skills, and judgment through organized instruction and supervised practice to first or second assist the surgeon in the operating room. The intraoperative activities of the RN first assistant must be supervised by a surgeon.
Qualifications
Licensure: RN License in the state of MO
Experience: Must have minimum of 2 years intraoperative experience
Certifications: CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer.
BLS/ACLS required within first year.
Preferred Education: BSN Degree
Preferred Certifications: CNOR, CRNFA
