Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist I - League City Campus (up to 19 hrs/wk) The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity. This role provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special ultrasound procedures while delivering exceptional patient care and adhering to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.

Qualifications

Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program

0+ years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound

Preferred: Associates of Applied Science in Diagnostic Sonography

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications

American Heart Association (BLS)

Any one of the following credentials:

American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-OB/GYN)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-AB)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-RVT)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-PS)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-MSKS)

American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-BR)

Essential Job Functions

Promotes a positive work environment and collaborates with all members of the patient care team.

Guides and mentors Ultrasound Technologist I and students to build confidence in skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity.

Optimizes protocols to provide better patient care, image quality, and patient experience (positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors).

Assists physicians during diagnostic procedures or special ultrasound procedures, including sterile technique.

Maintains proper sterile techniques, follows MRI safety policy and procedures, and complies with job role and hospital safety standards.

Participates in LEAN projects, WASTE walks, and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety.

Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures and enters charges at the time service is delivered.

Self‑motivated to independently manage time effectively, prioritize daily tasks, and maintain accurate timecards.

Seeks opportunities to expand learning with a focus on continual development and fosters a positive and constructive teaching environment.

Work Schedule Up to 19.99 hours per week with no benefits. Variable shift.
