American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of radiologic experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications for a hospital Cath Lab assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in a pediatric cardiac catheterization lab assisting with both adult and congenital cardiac procedures
Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and operating imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and ultrasonography
Day shift schedule of 5x8s, generally 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Weekend work required only when on call
On‑call coverage is required
No floating within the hospital, but may float to an affiliate hospital if needed
Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience required
Scrubs provided; no prints allowed
Assists physicians during procedures and operates complex imaging equipment, including preparation and supply management under sterile conditions
Performs both circulating and scrub duties in the Cath Lab and may cross‑train to related service areas such as EP or Hybrid OR
Responsible for patient care during exams, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
Works both independently during on‑call shifts and collaboratively with department staff
COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment; no exemptions allowed
Return staff must have a 6‑month gap before being eligible to return as a traveler
RTO requests of up to 2 weeks are accepted if submitted at time of application
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Daily parking is available for a fee
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current ARRT registration
Valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (license required if applicable)
BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification may be required per hospital policy
Minimum of 2 years' experience operating radiologic equipment in a cath lab or similar environment
Experience with pediatric patients is preferred
Prior experience with Epic charting system required
Pending OR license accepted if application has been submitted to the licensing board
Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration
