Clinical Nursing Instructor Responsibilities

Supervise a clinical group in the hospital, assist with grading journals and skills check-offs, provide feedback to students to improve their clinical practice (90% instructing, 10% reviewing student reflections and journals).

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Understanding of the nursing process.

Ability to direct students in application of theoretical concepts to clinical environment.

Oversee medication administration and incorporate 5 rights of medication administration.

Manage multiple priorities in the clinical environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Minimum nursing experience 2 years.

Agrees to participate in clinical instructor program in next year OR currently working towards a masters degree in nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Nursing experience 5 years.

Prior experience teaching nursing students.
