About The Urgent Care Program The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first program of its kind in the Kansas City area, delivering immediate same‑day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the BHUCC team provides care every day of the week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet client and community needs.
What You'll Do
Evaluate client’s mental health condition based on review of client information, including bio‑psycho‑social assessments, psychological evaluation, and diagnostics.
Collect information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests; prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for the client(s) being served.
Requirements Of The Position
Full‑time schedule (40 hours per week), Monday‑Friday 9:00 am‑5:30 pm.
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
Active clinical license in Missouri (Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred).
Two (2) years of direct service experience in a mental‑health setting.
Working knowledge of mental illness and substance‑use disorders.
Excellent customer‑service skills with a recovery focus.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
