Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology position for the Behavioral Science Department, intended to begin on August 15, 2026.
Essential Functions
Teaching four (4) courses per semester, such as, but not limited to, Introduction to Sociology and Global Community: Cultural Diversity & Interaction. This is a face-to-face program, but there may be opportunities to teach some online courses.
Participating in department and college service, such as, but not limited to, collecting data from courses for program assessment, attending department meetings, and representing the department at various university functions.
Engaging in sociological and/or scholarship of teaching and learning research and professional development activities.
Minimum Requirements Prior to the effective date of the appointment, all of the following are required:
A Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field
One (1) academic year of collegiate teaching experience in Sociology or related field
