Position Summary The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking a graduate student to provide research, technical and creative content support to enhance the experience of our 135,000+ alumni community. In turn, the Digital Engagement and Research Assistant will gain valuable real-world experience in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular research in higher education alumni engagement on topics such as general best practices; benchmarking against peers; industry trends; and other special research projects as requested.
Create social media graphics in Canva and assist in capturing campus/event photography or video for social media, as needed. Offer content suggestions from a young alumni perspective.
Manage select Aventri forms and reports, and ensure data is provided to internal and campus partners in a timely manner. Test forms and event websites for Alumni Relations team members.
Supports administration of the Nova Network platform, such as managing approval queues, posting HireNova Updates and other relevant digital engagement content to the discussion tab or groups, etc.
Event staffing for key initiatives such as 1842 Day, Homecoming, Nova Network November, Basketball game watch/pre-game receptions, and others as required.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements: Required Qualifications
Must be a Villanova University graduate student enrolled in Master's program
Advanced organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environmeny
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
Problem solver who is capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision
Professionalism and maturity that allows for working on and discussion of confidential matters
Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new platforms/programs
General knowledge of digital engagement practices, with an interest in social media and video
Preferred Qualifications
First-year graduate student who could continue the position through the following academic year
Experience with Salesforce CRM, Meta Business Suite, Canva, and/or Photoshop

Additional Information This is an hourly position and does not offer tuition remission. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours/week. Ideal candidate will also be available to continue through 2026-2027 academic year, if mutually agreed upon.
Physical Demands Summary: Long periods of time sitting at a desk. Some light lifting may be required on an infrequent basis.
Wage Rate: $18.00 per hour
