Marketing/ PR Office Assistant
Position Summary: Based in the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, the Marketing/ PR Assistant supports the Communications Manager on a variety of projects aligned with the department’s strategic communications goals. Key Responsibilities
Write and edit marketing copy and creative content
Plan, write, and execute social media campaigns
Assist with subscription and ticketing marketing efforts
Create and distribute department e‑newsletters
Update and edit website content
Provide general administrative support, including mailing, filing, and office organization
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements The student must have an intermediate competency level in WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Good interpersonal skills required; position requires interaction with students and employees, and the ability to deal discreetly with sensitive information.
Additional Information
Help manage the subscription renewal process, including direct communication with subscribers and database entry
Draft press releases and web content
Create a training handbook for student employees
Assist with general office tasks such as mailing, filing, and administrative support
Video editing skills are a plus
Physical Demands Summary The essential functions of this position may require the ability to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 lbs]. The role may also involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing and the use of hands and fingers for tasks requiring fine motor skills. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Wage Rate $10.00
