JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Development to support the growth of our housing development programs and partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement and Development, this role combines strategic housing development management, project oversight, and community engagement to ensure successful expansion of affordable housing initiatives.

Housing Development & Operations

Manage real estate development projects, acquisitions, and construction of affordable housing.

Oversee project budgets, timelines, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

Develop and maintain partnerships with affordable housing developers and service providers.

Prepare and manage MOUs, contracts, and compliance reports.

Represent Triple C at conferences and community events.

Operational Planning

Support integration of housing development with operational strategies.

Assist with readiness reviews, compliance walkthroughs, and interdepartmental coordination.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate development, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: Minimum 5 years in affordable housing development and operations, with at least 3 years in management/project management.

Skills

Expertise in affordable housing finance and development programs (HOME, LIHTC, HUD, etc.).

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Other

Valid driver’s license; ability to travel throughout NJ.

Hybrid role with regular on-site visits to development sites and partner meetings. Evening and weekend availability may be required.
