Position Summary Re-Post, Previous Applicants Need Not Re-Apply, Still Under Consideration The School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking faculty members to apply for a full-time tenure/tenure-track position. The School is recruiting creative and highly motivated candidates who want to advance their academic careers and support the research, teaching, and service mission of the UNCG School of Nursing. We are seeking innovative and talented individuals actively engaged in research and education to become part of our dynamic team. Our research priorities include a focus on vulnerable populations in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management, health disparities, and interventions and symptom management. We are also interested in health services researchers. Other research foci will be considered.
Tenure/tenure-track positions are research-intensive. Tenure/tenure-track faculty are expected to teach students, pursue a program of research, seek external funding, and disseminate research findings. All positions will have responsibilities in our research, teaching, and service missions. Candidates with experience in these areas are preferred. Candidates must hold or anticipate a research doctoral degree in nursing or related fields by start date. Tenure is available at the Associate Professor or full Professor ranks for those who meet the criteria.
This is a 9‑month academic year position with benefits. There are 5 openings for this posting.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Graduate Degree in Nursing and must hold or anticipate a research Doctoral Degree in nursing or related fields by start date.
An unencumbered RN license in North Carolina is required prior to employment date.
An established area of research with funding potential.
Preferred Qualifications
Record of significant research funding.
Experience in higher education including classroom and/or clinical teaching.
Demonstrated research productivity and ability to secure funding.
Record of accomplishment in scholarship and service.
Mid‑career researcher preferred.
Recruitment Range Recruitment Range Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and credentials.
