A well-established residential roofing contractor in the Sacramento region is seeking an experienced
Roofing Field Manager
to oversee daily field operations across multiple projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong roofing knowledge who can manage crews, maintain safety standards, and deliver quality work from start to finish. Key Responsibilities
Schedule roofing projects and monitor weather conditions to reduce risk and liability Supervise multiple job sites, roofing crews, and subcontractors Perform pre-job and post-job inspections to ensure quality and scope compliance Manage project budgets and evaluate change orders Conduct dry rot inspections and identify necessary repairs Set up and maintain safe, compliant job sites Lead weekly safety meetings and crew training Communicate daily with homeowners regarding project status Prepare repair estimates and perform repairs as needed Coordinate with office staff on material ordering and scheduling Review and approve field payroll Qualifications
5+ years of supervisory experience in residential roofing Strong knowledge of composition, tile, TPO, torch-down, and flat roofing systems Experience with repair estimating and jobsite problem-solving Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with Excel and basic tracking tools Conversational Spanish preferred Valid driver’s license required Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends If you’re an experienced roofing professional who enjoys leading crews and running projects in the field, this is a strong long-term opportunity with a stable residential contractor.
