at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor, who is a scholar and creative writer beginning July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 with a 3/2 teaching load. The candidate will have experience teaching undergraduate students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, and religion. Courses will include introduction to creative writing as well as literature courses in an area of research expertise. The candidate should have a strong record of publication in creative nonfiction or fiction, alongside a demonstrable research agenda in literary criticism in areas such as Latinx studies; African American studies; performance studies; material culture and the creative arts; disability studies; and gender and sexuality studies. PhD or ABD in Literature or Creative Writing required.Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, two sample syllabi, research statement, and teaching statement.
