Job Summary:
Evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re)habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educates and counsels patients and families. Provides independent therapeutic services and identifies area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervises graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participates actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborates with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives.

Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Acute Care team on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment in Nashville, TN, providing specialized care to adult patients across multiple ICUs and step‑down units.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations and evidence‑based treatment for adults with swallowing, speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and voice disorders.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, dietitians, occupational and physical therapists.
Utilize advanced technology and clinical best practices to optimize patient outcomes.
Document patient progress in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF).
Current Tennessee (TN) SLP Licensure or eligibility.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) required.
One year of experience in adult acute care is preferred.
