Joe McGuire Design is hiring a Senior Interior Designer to complement its current team. We are looking for an experienced designer, who will share the aesthetic vision of Joe McGuire Design.
The ideal candidate will have:
7+ years of high-end residential design experience including new construction, full remodel and full FF&E package.
Desire to flourish creatively in a lead role

Excellent communication skills
Proficient in computer and drafting skills (see details below)
This position would be based either in our Aspen office, or our Boulder office, depending on your preference. Both offices are located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. Occasional travel to Denver, Aspen or other parts of the US would be required.
Responsibilities include:
Develop a creative vision for JMD projects
Collaborate on project design charrettes
Oversee project timelines and meet deadlines
Serve as the primary point of client contact
Lead, mentor and delegate to junior design staff
Follow up with consultants, vendors, and trades
In-depth knowledge of high end furniture sources and vendors
Knowledge of fabrics and custom furniture specification
Strong understanding of scale and proportion
Ability to develop
Sketches and drawings
Mood boards
Concept boards
Presentations
Finish selections and palettes
Construction schedules
Site visits and construction observations
Creating & maintaining project budgets
Identify & communicate scope creep
Coordinating with accounting for Invoice review
Manage furnishings installs
Required education and experience:
Degree in Interior Design
7+ years experience in high-end residential
Familiar with Google drive and apps
AutoCAD proficient
Mac OS proficient
Adobe Photoshop proficient
Experience with Studio Designer software is a plus
Working knowledge of Sketchup Pro or similar is a plus, but not mandatory

Successful candidates will be passionate about contemporary design, have a compelling portfolio of completed work, will be experienced with FF&E, highly motivated, and will work effectively and collaboratively.
