The Kearney Cancer Center will be a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in a modern, welcoming environment. This brand-new center will combine advanced oncology treatments, cutting-edge technology, and a compassionate approach to care, ensuring that patients in Kearney and central Nebraska receive the highest standard of treatment.

As an Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technician, you'll help compound and prepare infusion medications, support compliance with USP-800 guidelines, and contribute to the safe and effective care of our patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Compound IV medications using aseptic technique in a cleanroom environment

Ensure compliance with USP-800 for the safe handling of hazardous drugs

Maintain cleanliness and documentation logs in IV room (cleaning, temperature, waste, inventory)

Perform accurate calculations to measure and mix chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other infusion medications

Maintain and track infusion equipment and pharmaceutical inventory

Accurately enter medication information into the Nucleus System

Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials per OSHA and NIOSH standards

Assist with ordering and restocking of medications and suppliesCollaborate with pharmacy, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure timely, safe delivery of therapy

Participate in the training of new staff as needed

Support quality assurance processes and compliance with CPN policies

What You Need to Bring

Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Nebraska - REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalency

Minimum 1 year of IV compounding experience

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Knowledge of IV medications, supplies, and safety procedures

Schedule & Work Environment

Day shift only - Monday through Friday

No weekends or holidays

Full-time or part-time opportunities available

Physical activities include walking, standing for extended periods, lifting, and manual dexterity

Must be able to work in highly regulated, sterile environments with occasional work‑related stress
