**Job Summary:** Provide individual and group counseling with emphasis on prevention, recovery, and resiliency. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health.**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Utilize evidenced based treatment modalities to assist Consumers in achieving treatment goals.* Work with multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.* Conduct on-going assessments of residents behavioral health needs and up-date treatment goals and interventions as needed.* Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and consumers’ progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.* Refer patients, consumers or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.* Meet with families, team providers, care managers in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.* Assist in the development of discharge plans and provide follow-up services as needed.* Provide trainings as needed on topics related to mental health, engagement, and de-escalation techniques.* Learn about new developments in their field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.**REQUIREMENTS:*** Master’s degree (M.A., M.S.) in Mental Health field* Licensed or license eligible* Valid Tennessee Driver’s License* Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)* Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation* Personal Automobile Insurance**BENEFITS:** Mental Health Cooperative offers a full comprehensive benefit plan for you to participate in.
