Overview
This is a full-time position with the Outpatient Methodist Podiatry Team. This individual will be working within mainly our podiatry team in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic/practice manager and provider(s). The ATC will perform duties associated with direct patient care in accordance with the organization standards. The ATC will assist the providers with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and assuring efficient patient flow. Patient education will range from explaining next steps in the treatment plan, to educate patients through a home exercise program or bracing. This individual may perform computerized provider order entry per provider. The ATC participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve set outcomes and enhance operational efficiency.
Job Duties
Rooming: vitals, history and physical exam, determine if x-rays are needed, present to physician
Placing needed orders per provider PT, MRI/CT, etc.
Preparing any in office procedures (Injections, aspirations, ultrasound exams, PRP, etc.)
Global period patients: complete history, physical examination, and plan of care based on physician recommendations
Triaging and addressing patient calls and messaging
Obtaining prior authorization per provider request
Manage paperwork including, but not limited to FMLA, disability, workers comp, etc.

Staple or stitch removal
Wound care
Home exercise programs
Patient education
DME
Clinical/Procedure Chart Prepping
Scheduling Assistance as needed
Medical Instrumentation Logistics
Prescription Education and Review
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Athletic Training is required.
Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible required.
Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer required.
