Phlebotomist III (Floater) .
Position Details
Position: Phlebotomist III (Floater)
Position type: Full time Contract
Location: Southfield MI 48075
Duration: 5 months
Shift / Schedule : Monday- Friday 07:00 AM to 06:00PM
Responsibilities
The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe and accurate manner.
Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
Maintains required records and documentation.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
2 -3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.

Pay Range and Benefits Pay Range: $21 - $28.00 per hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
