Fairview is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our Fairview Ridges Hospital location in Burnsville, MN. We’re offering a $13,500 sign‑on bonus!
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. The role follows defined treatment protocols according to department policies. Responsibilities include collecting, assessing, interpreting, and intervening as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, and ensuring patient welfare and safety standards during treatments.
Schedule This position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the day shift, with a 2 out of 6 weekend rotation.
• Candidates with PFT experience preferred as this role will be tasked with working a minimum of 1 shift in the PFT lab every 2 weeks. • PFT lab experience preferred, CPFT preferred.
Shift differential incentives: $2.00/hr for weekends

Responsibilities
Assessing patient needs and identifying expected outcomes.
Implementing respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Operating and maintaining all respiratory care equipment.
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
License/Certification/Registration
Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) with 3 or more years of respiratory therapist experience in clinical setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Requirements (must be obtained and maintained)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
License/Certification/Registration
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Experience
